Are you someone who wants to Learn How To Play Blues Guitar and/or needs to break free from being stuck in a classic 'blues guitar player's rut'? If so, think about the the following statement:
Learning To 'Make Music From Scratch' Is The Simplest Way To Develop The Necessary Skills & Understandings Needed In Order To Become A Greater & Greater Player!
As someone who has retired twice, so far, from being a professional blues artist, I can now look back with even greater clarity to see both 'what I did right' and 'what I did wrong' on my way up [so to speak]!
In addition to now looking back with much greater clarity, I have recently learned some very important musical lessons that now have me feeling a new sense of excitement for how I might go and grow forward with new and fresh momentum... It's a great feeling, as I am sure that you are well aware!
With all of this fresh in mind, I have just launched a new project based upon helping blues guitar students 'learn how to make music from scratch'. With that said, it's important to point out that: I Recorded Everything In The Video Above w/ A Fender Stratocaster & w/ Hand Percussion On A Wooden Box... [My recording software allows me to transpose the bass part down by one octave].
As you are listening to the video above, you are hearing an example of one of the practice pieces that I now have available for my students. With My 'Learning Blues Guitar From Scratch' Program, I Aim To Help Students Get To Full Potential As They Are Developing A True & Skillful Understanding Of Blues Guitar!
This means that I will be helping each student learn how to play and understand 'all parts' of each practice piece. Then, along with many valuable lessons learned along the way, students can then go a step further and record all of the parts on a multi-track recorder to have fun and celebrate hearing the complete results, and/or they can gather a few friends together to have a blast playing live recreations of each practice piece!
This Is The Kind Of Musical Education I Wish That I Had Gotten Started With More Than Thirty Years Ago!
Can you imagine if we could all 'go back in time' and, with a 'fresh start', begin to maximize our practice time with all of the benefits of 'knowing what we now know'? :) It is not exactly how life works, as far as I know, but in that same spirit I can help new blues guitar players, and experienced blues guitar players who need to break free from one or more ruts, have and enjoy the exciting benefits of this simple and powerful way to learn and practice blues guitar starting now and going forward!
For now, I will leave you with this thought, something I have observed quite a bit through the years: When it comes to learning to play blues guitar, the notes are the easy part. It's 'everything else' [phrasing, timing, articulation, etc] that presents the real challenge! The times before we finally begin to 'get it' are trying times... Then, with the right lessons learned, finally it all begins to pay off! Happy practicing! :)
