Here is one of my online mini-courses to share with those who see life as a forward moving adventure for which learning provides the greatest path!

Are you ready to get right to having musically organized sounds coming from your guitar? Would you prefer to invest your valuable practice time in a solid set of licks and phrases that fit together as well-constructed components? Are you searching for the musical vehicles you need in order to learn many of the most important, but otherwise challenging, details and concepts? If so, this practice etude approach just might be right for you!

Here, below, are five practice pieces that provide a great vehicle for me, as an instructor, to help students understand, create and play better guitar solos!

I provide step-by-step guidance throughout the entire learning and polishing process wherever needed. In addition to the videos for audio and visual reference, I also provide musical notation in both tablature and standard forms.

The entire process, depending on the needs of each student, can be completed at a quick, slow or medium pace. Either way, the lessons learned from completing one or more etudes are going to have a valuable impact on the student’s path and trajectory toward reaching full musical confidence!

Be sure to take a good look and listen to the following reference videos and then feel free to let me know which etude feels like it is going to be the most natural starting point for you:

- Blues Solo #1 and #2 Shuffle:

- Blues Solo #2 Funky:

- Blues Solo #3 Slow Blues:

- Gettin' Funky:

- Struttin' With The Blues:

With that said, I invite you to take my four-week approach to learning your first etude. If it takes a bit longer, that’s okay too – we are going to work at your own satisfying pace in order to learn many of the most important musical details and concepts. These are the kinds of details and concepts that really are going to make the difference. In this way, your investment into your personal development of greater musical skill and understanding really is going to pay off!

This personalized, one-on-one, course is available via FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, Google-Hangout, etc, and scheduling can be flexible.
