Here is one of my online mini-courses to share with those who see life as a forward moving adventure for which learning provides the greatest path!
If you do not yet know, great rhythm is what makes great music happen. Without great rhythm our chords and melody notes simply do not register in the brain as being musical. Try it out for yourself. Play a great sounding chord, or note, with just one strum, strike of the key, breath through the mouthpiece, or tap on the drum-head. Now try playing in what sounds like a random set of time intervals. Now begin to play in a pattern that your brain can recognize as a rhythmic. Do you hear your chord or note turning into music as you bring it into rhythm? Can you imagine, now, how much more musical we can all become the moment we begin to establish a greater and greater sense of time, groove and pattern?
If so, congratulations, you are standing right at the door to musical mastery! If you happen to already have a great sense of time, groove and pattern, you do not need this mini-course. However, if you understand what I am sharing here, but do not yet have the rhythmic power of a great drummer and/or a great bassist to turn your sounds (regardless of what your instrument is) into great music, then read on!
I have created a four-week mini-course to help musicians learn how to become a musical machine capable of bringing the power of time, groove and pattern to any instrument, including the voice! In this course we snap, tap, clap, vocalize, and play rhythms in ways that teach the brain and body to become musical even before we interface with our main instrument of choice. In other words this mini-course is about becoming musical – and becoming musical really does answer so many questions and it really is such a great feeling!
With that said, I invite you to take my four-week mini-course for Basic Beats For Rhythmic Development - Becoming Musical: Beginner - Intermediate. I have been teaching this course for many years and have developed a realistic formula that really does help players have fun getting started on what can quickly become a great life-long musical journey!
This personalized, one-on-one, course is available via FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, Google-Hangout, etc, and scheduling can be flexible.
