Here is one of my online mini-courses to share with those who see life as a forward moving adventure for which learning provides the greatest path!
Are you someone who has always wanted to play the Hammond B3-Style Organ? In my opinion there is nothing else quite like holding down a groovy left-hand bass line while jamming out with right-hand chords and solos – it really is a blast!
The truth is that the Hammond B3-Style Organ is still a relatively new instrument for me and I still have quite a ways to go – but, I have discovered something quite useful!
I have figured out how to simplify the learning process so that training the brain to develop left and right hand independence becomes not-terribly-difficult if one is willing to have a bit of fun and be patient. In fact, this method not only makes learning to play the organ accessible, it also turns the learning process into quite a bit of fun as well!
If you are a beginner when it comes to the piano, keyboard and/or organ, here is my proposal:
I can help you learn how to get started, get comfortable and build confidence with the basics of organ playing by teaching you, step-by-step, how to play a blues in C. In this process you will learn:
- A Simple Approach To Left-Hand Bass Playing (shuffle, swing, latin, rock, and funk)
- Three, Easy To Play, Shell Chords To Cover The I7, IV7 and V7 Chord Progression
- A Number Of Adaptable Comping Patterns
- And An Easy Way To Improvise Right-Hand Solos Using The C Minor Blues Scale
What this means is that you are going to be making music right away without any confusion about where and how to get started!
In other words, I offer complete beginners a relaxed, fun and enjoyable approach to making music, right away, while also helping them see the clear practice-path needed in order to grow forward with even more confidence.
When we decide to learn something new, our first steps are the most important. Our first steps determine whether or not we are actually going to get started on the right track to make learning feel easy, fun and rewarding enough enjoy reaching, and eventually exceeding, our first set of goals.
With that said, I invite you to take my four-week mini-course for how play B3 Organ-Style Blues: For Beginners. I have been teaching a parallel guitar-version of this course for many years and have developed a realistic formula that really does help brand new players have fun getting started on what can quickly become a great life-long musical journey!
This personalized, one-on-one, course is available via FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, Google-Hangout, etc, and scheduling can be flexible.
